I was fortunate to spend two nights recently at the elegant Four Seasons Las Vegas. If you’re unaware, this is a non-gaming oasis that is located adjacent to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, making it the perfect place to experience the best of both worlds that create Las Vegas.
I decided to surprise my Mom and ask her to come with me. To come with me It was so funny because she answered “yes” in less than one second! Our flights were booked immediately and our Las Vegas countdown excitement began. Our fabulous Four Seasons contact let me know that there was a lot of fun planned for Mom and me with a very special package we would remember forever. She was right!
We arrived on Halloween and were greeted by our Four Seasons driver who quickly got our luggage and away we went! When we pulled up to the elegant entrance, we were greeted by friendly staff who encouraged us to enjoy our special time at The Four Seasons Las Vegas. Ok, we were in complete agreement!
While we checked in, we were given an overview of this beautiful property and could hardly contain our excitement. We wanted to explore immediately.
Here comes some of the fun: All Four Seasons guests gain access to two very unique pool experiences – there’s the Resort’s private pool, which is complete with signature passed amenities, and the expansive Mandalay Bay Pools complex at the adjacent Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, which houses a Lazy River, three swimming pools and a real-sand beach, as well as Mandalay Bay Beach. We had tossed our swimsuits into our suitcases and now crossed our fingers that we might be able to enjoy some of the great available pool experiences.
We were whisked up quickly to our beautiful, peaceful room and began to talk about all of our upcoming fun. We had a dinner reservation for us downstairs at Veranda and needed to freshen up for an amazing evening.
When we arrived at Veranda, we were asked if we’d like inside or outside seating. Since the weather was finally cooling off, we chose outside on the terrace and they quickly surrounded us with the best heaters to keep us warm.
We loved that we were able to enjoy the fresh air and also remain very comfortable. It was great!
Veranda is a trattoria-style Italian restaurant, which is open all day and specializes in handmade pasta, wood-fired pizza and refined Italian desserts. Chef Joel Gott personally prepared an amazing dining experience for us. He brings a love of Italian cuisine and pedigreed training from Le Cordon Bleu in Las Vegas, along with more than a decade of experience, to Veranda. Simply put, Chef Joel is my mom and my new best friend. We loved him!
After sleeping like babies in our comfortable room, we needed to get up early for our 8:00 am HEAD-TO-TOE CANDLE MASSAGES!
There just aren’t words to describe how incredible this amazing massage is. So, it begins with this: A blend of coconut oil and natural waxes are gently poured over your entire body.
The warmth melts into massage oil, leaving your skin feeling silky and your muscles totally relaxed. My massage was incredible and Mom said she fell asleep almost immediately. This was exactly what we both needed!
Once we were brought gently back to reality after our massages, we had to prepare for our next amazing Four Seasons Las Vegas experience!
We were so excited to be booked on the Natural Wonders Package where you literally soar high above Las Vegas in a helicopter through Maverick Helicopters’ to a private landing at the Valley of Fire which is inside the Grand Canyon.
This is a rare spot with spectacular red sandstone formations and some of the most fascinating desert landscapes found anywhere. The natural beauty was stunning!
Insight for you: The excursion is available to Four Seasons guests only, continues to the Grand Canyon, where you will land 3,500 feet below the West Rim, in Hualapai Indian Territory, at Maverick Helicopters’ private landing site. To say it was sensational would be an understatement!
Once we landed inside THE GRAND CANYON, there was a delicious picnic lunch and beverages which had been prepared by the Four Seasons culinary team and was served just a few hundred feet above the mighty Colorado River. Seriously, the experience was pretty surreal.
Looking at Mom in headphones, strapped inside the helicopter, looking extremely courageous and grinning like a 5 year old was pretty special! Once lunch was over (complete with champagne!) we re-boarded the helicopter and returned via an incomparable aerial “course” over Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, and – for contrast – the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown Las Vegas. WE LOVED IT!
This special Four Seasons Las Vegas package includes round-trip car service from McCarran International Airport, curbside check-in, a two-night stay in either a Deluxe accommodation with a Las Vegas Strip view or a One-Bedroom Suite with a Las Vegas Strip view, a welcome amenity, round-trip experience with Maverick Helicopters, helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon, a picnic basket lunch and souvenir photo. Next on our fun list was a Veuve Cliquot Social Session at Press. Press is another fantastic venue within the Four Seasons Las Vegas.
We reshened up after our adventurous afternoon and headed downstairs feeling very excited to see what the evening would bring. We spent a few hours at the Social Session, enjoying delicious hordeourves, champagne and lots of Social Session fun! Simply put, a wonderful time was had.
Press has Craft cocktails at their indoor-outdoor lounge, where you can connect in a vibrant social setting or relax fireside with a nightcap. Every Thursday through November 15, 2018, taste specialty cocktails and complimentary small bites while enjoying live entertainment on the PRESS patio.
Next morning we had breakfast outside at Press then headed home.
My review of Four Seasons Las Vegas? AMAZING! Many thumbs up! If you are looking for a quite yet fun trip, look no further than Four Seasons Las Vegas, you won’t be disappointed.

Put Saturday, November 10th and Sunday, November 11th on your calendar, because that’s the day The Eighth Annual Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships: Horses & Horsepower returns once again, to WestWorld in Scottsdale, AZ with some wonderful and amazing new elements. Last year the Scottsdale Championships drew the biggest crowd in the country for a polo event with over 13,000 fans enjoying the showdown of the annual Polo Party.
This year, attendees will get sneak previews of the 2019 Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show and the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction, along with local Ferrari and Lamborghini car clubs lining the Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships at Wells Fargo Private Bank Field at WestWorld of Scottsdale.
As always, The Bubbly Blonde is not going to miss this fabulous and FUN event! Beyond the fun, some of the chicest people on the planet attend this great event each year and everywhere you look, there is beauty, elegance and POLOPLAYERS! Included in this year’s lineup is one of The Sport’s most famous players: Nacho Figueras from the Aspen Valley Polo Club. To say this man looks good playing polo, just ask Ralph Lauren himself, since Nacho has modeled for the brand. He’s also quite accomplished as a polo player. Really.
I have been posting “What to Wear to Polo in 2018” since last week on my social media. Take a peek at my Instagram to see what Saks Fifth Avenue Phoenix has chosen for me to show you how to Dress to Impress this weekend! Most important ladies, wear block heels, wedges, boots or flats- there is a LOT of grass walking at this event and your heels will get stuck! All of my photos you see in this blog were taken at Westworld where The Polo Party is held.
So, you ask, what’s new for thepoloparty.com this year??
I’ll tell you. There will be performances during periods of polo play by The Phoenix Symphony (featuring Mozart!), Phoenix Theatre with some of the great Broadway musical songs of all time, bagpipes performance by Ford Dudley, the Phoenix Opera and the Boys Choir. Collectively and individual performances to the backdrop of the day’s polo matches will all become some of the most beautiful moments in this American sport.
Now onto the party: There will be new DJ infused party tents courtesy of the Scottsdale based Riot Hospitality Group which includes Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row, El Hefe and Riot House.
There will be an expanded event presence by Red Bull, which deployed its skydiving team prior to a match last year.
There will the “World’s Farthest Rugby Sevens Match” led by ASU’s rugby team, where you will watch amazing rugby action on what may be the longest field ever utilized for rugby sevens match- nearly two and a half times longer than normal. This match will take place between the polo action.
There will be the debut of the Apex Club, courtesy of the Apex Motor Club in Maricopa, AZ. This is a country club for car enthusiasts and will recognize the top cars onsite. These cars will include collector cars courtesy of Barrett-Jackson, the Ferrari Club of Arizona, Porsche Club, Scottsdale Corvette Club, Arizona Classic Thunderbird Club, AZ Lamborghini Club, Corvette Club of America, as well as cars of Apex members and dozens of other Arizona car owners.
There will be an extended Sanderson Lincoln Black Label Lounge.
There will be a second, mid-field skybox on the north side of the Wells Fargo Private Bank Polo Field courtesy of Talking Stick Resort.
Also new this year is the F.A B. Tent, which stands for Fashion, Art and Beauty. It will feature a pop-up gallery by the Scottsdale based Larsen Art Gallery and Auction, with sideline manicures by the Talking Stick Resort Spa, fashion displays by Spiritual Gangster, Evan’s Furs and LoveOverH8, a socially conscious clothing line by local resident Cheryl Najafi and Velveteria, a Los Angeles-based museum devoted to velvet art works.
In conjunction with KTAR, a new Wine, Cheese & Chocolate Tent will be introduced with tickets to sample of each and available for purchase at the tent.
Already the top selling champagne event in Arizona, this year’s Polo Party will be making a push with wine enthusiasts too.
Hall Pass, the country’s most unusual pop-up sports bar will also debut this year. This incredible venue will allow sports fans to enjoy football and other games on televisions throughout the day.
There will be an incredible Fashion Show, a Canine Couture Show, field side Day Clubs by Stella Artois, Bottled Blonde and Sandbar.
Now the reason for this party event is actually HEART-STOPPING POLO ACTION at the center of it all! Some of the world’s best and their horses take the Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships. Eight matches. Two days. With enough pageantry to make the Rose Bowl blush!
To say this will be an amazing weekend of polo fun would be an understatement. All of this will take place amidst the beautiful backdrop pf polo and the McDowell Mountains…simply BEAUTIFUL!

The Omni Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Montelucia was inspired by the rich history, culture, and architecture of Spain’s Andalusia region, the Montelucia is an escape in the heart of Paradise Valley, Arizona. Embellished with the flavors and colors, this premier destination takes you away from your everyday life and is nestled at the base of beautiful Camelback Mountain.
I am very fortunate to live close by this beautiful property and I go there quite frequently but this time, I stayed the night.
After checking in, which was quick and easy, I was taken to my Poolside Guest Room that has a beautiful private patio (or balcony), accented by an outdoor luxury chaise lounge.
Once settled into my room I was headed to the Joya Spa to receive a blow out. The Joya Spa is like none other! The Joya Spa is 31,000 square feet of pampering and when you arrive at Joya Spa, you are greeted by a Joya Journey Coordinator who will escort you up the grand staircase to the Joy of Intention room where they ask you to stop, relax and tune out the outside world.
I have enjoyed a few spa days here and I must say, the massages are divine. This time though, I had an incredible blow out done by hairstylist Ani and she did an amazing job!
The next morning we enjoyed breakfast before walking around the majestic grounds and checking out. One of the 3 restaurants on property that is a must is Prado.
Prado is a picturesque restaurant with views of Camelback Mountain, offering seasonal Spanish-influenced fare for an approachable American palate, while utilizing the finest and freshest local ingredients made available by Arizona’s farming community.
Feeling refreshed and relaxed I headed home and cannot wait to come back to this Spanish Style Resort.
Here is a special you do not want to miss! The Omni Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Montelucia is offering a Season of Giving- Stay 2 nights, Get the 3rd for $10, more information here.
