Royal Palms Resort & Spa

Last weekend I did a staycation at Royal Palms Resort & Spa which is nestled at the base of Camelback Mountain with beautiful cobblestone pathways winding throughout the property. Every inch of Royal Palms is thought out, they pay exceptional attention to detail. There are only 119 rooms, casitas and villas at Royal Palms making it extremely romantic, feeling like you have stepped into an enchanting Mediterranean escape.

Entering valet we were greeted and welcomed with champagne. Checking in was quick and easy, and we were escorted to our room by a very nice bellman. The resort provides three employees for every guest and a Conference Services Manager for each group. The staff is highly trained in gracious service, attention to detail and flexibility.

A little bit of history on Royal Palms, Royal Palms offers guests the rare opportunity to enjoy rich amenities of a Resort all within the walls of a storied estate.

The Estate’s rich history dates back to 1929 as the winter home of Delos Willard Cooke, a New York industrialist and financier, his wife Florence, and son, Chauncey. Read more about their story here.

That night we enjoyed a candlelit dinner at T.Cooks. It was too hot to sit outside but would be such a great experience with Camelback Mountain views and inviting fireplaces in the fall and winter. T. Cook’s has received the highest restaurant ratings from both national food critics and local Phoenix, Arizona foodies for its select seasonal dishes, organic specialties and elegant surrounding; creating an experience where guests “choose their adventure” whether it be a classic three course meal or a sampling of tastes and platters amongst the group.

Nestled within a den of rich earthen colors, high-vaulted ceilings and panoramic views, the timeless T. Cook’s offers unparalleled ambiance for a Phoenix, Arizona restaurant. Mimicking the Mediterranean architecture and atmosphere of the Royal Palms Resort and Spa. With ingredients hand selected by Executive Chef Todd Allison, their award-winning chefs create tempting menus featuring a wide variety of intriguing dishes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday Brunch.

The next morning I took my time before heading to the Alvadora Spa at Royal Palms Resort – where I would be having a wonderful deep tissue massage! The Alvadora Spa has eight treatment rooms which are steeped in Mediterranean beauty, and many spill into private indoor-outdoor courtyards. Recently honored with the 2018 Forbes Travel Guide Four Star Award.
